Children’s Ministry Blogs – Up and Comers and Consistent Contributors

Childrens Ministry Blog Patrol

As introduced Tuesday, this week we are looking at the top blogs for those in Children’s Ministry based on their inclusion in The Children’s Ministry Blog Patrol.

Here’s a look at where we’ve been and where we are as we wrap up this series:

These are the blogs which have just recently started to show up in The Children’s Ministry Blog Patrol (i.e., I just recently found them) and those blogs which may not have as many articles in The Children’s Ministry Blog Patrol but consistently show up because of the quality of the content that is posted. This one was a little more subjective, and I had trouble limiting it to just ten, so I threw in an extra blog for free just for you!:

The Logos Ministry

The Logos Ministry “is a non-denominational Christian ministry that works in partnership with local church leaders to build young disciples of Jesus Christ.” The blog entries are written by a number of different individuals who are on staff at Logos and deal with a variety of issues of importance to kids. I particularly like one of their quips from their website which reads “Children’s Ministry happens wherever kids are.” Amen!

Justyn’s Blog

Justyn’s Blog is the Blog of Justyn Smith. In addition to a layout which is near and dear to my heart :), this blog offers excellent articles on various aspects of Children’s Ministry. Justyn Smith is the Children’s Pastor at The Church at South Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Village Church – Preschool Blog is the blog of the preschool wing of The Village Church with campuses in Denton, Highland Village and Dallas, Texas. Although some of the articles focus on the local church campus, much of what is posted here is great for the wider Children’s Ministry community. Though the posts are not as frequent as some blogs, I always enjoy reading what they have to say.

Kid Inspiration

Kid Inspiration

Kid Inspiration is the blog of David Wakerly. Ever since he gave me grief about the name of my blog (which by the way led me to changing it to the even more confusing “Dad in the Middle”) I have followed David’s blog. His articles are not as frequent as some blogs, but every time he writes I walk away with new knowledge or insight. For that reason alone, I expanded this top ten list to eleven to make sure his blog was included. David Wakerly is a Children’s Pastor at Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia.
