Today, I wanted to take some time to review the album. It seems to me that the best way to do that is song-by-song, so that is what I am going to do. Before I do that though, I wanted to make some general observations. First, I am not the type of person who usually likes a CD in its entirety right out of the box. There are a handful of CDs where I can honestly say I really like all of the songs, but for most of those there were at least a couple of songs that took a little while to grow on me. I can honestly tell you that the first time I listened to this CD from front to back, I fell in love with the songs. I love them as someone in children’s ministry who can definitely use them in class. I love them as the father to a daughter who really likes Yancy. Most importantly though, I just love them myself. I could, and will, listen to this album whether the kids are around or not. To me, that is an essential element in good children’s ministry music – it relates to both kids and parents.
