The 25 Best Christian Blogs (Presented by the Blog Patrol)

police-fishIf you are a regular visitor to “Dad in the Middle” you no doubt expected the latest installment of the Blog Patrol this morning.  No worries, I pushed it to tomorrow so I could include the last day of June in this week’s Patrol.  There will be a major announcement regarding the future of The Blog Patrol in tomorrow’s installment so if you’re a regulae reader – don’t miss it!

So, the Blog Patrol has been around for three months now, and it has featured new blogs every week now.  I know when I started researching for the Blog Patrol it was hard to find a concise listing of the best Christian Blogs on the internet.  So, I’ve decided to post my own list.  I ranked each blog that has ever been included in the Blog Patrol based on three criteria:

  1. Total number of articles included.
  2. Total weeks included.
  3. A weighted average based on number of posts and timing of posts (most recent getting more points)

I then combined these ranking by category and came up with the best 25 Christian Blogs based on inclusion in the first three months of the Blog Patrol.  Note: these do not include blogs related primarily related to Children’s and Youth Ministry which are heavily represented in the Blog Patrol.  I intend to post a separate listing of these on Thursday.

So, without further ado, here are the 25 Best Christian blogs currently on the internet based solely on their inclusion in the blog Patrol:

  1. Stuff Christians Like
  2. Moore to the Point
  3. Albert Mohler
  4. Between Two Worlds
  5. In Light of the Gospel
  6. Kingdom People

Dear Sir, I’d like to introduce myself. I for several years had a blogsite on Amazon.com (it is still apparent on Google)–which kept a running record of all the posts (all in poetical format). It contained a Christian’s comments on the world-at-large, personal insights, and comments on cultural issues.

Now that Amazon.com has changed the rules–and no longer keeps the old posts for comparison–I have switched to WordPress.com. The new blog has just appeared (although it just went up last night–perhaps you’d like to give it a “look-see” and perhaps go to the old Amazon.com blog available through link on Google.

I am an award-winning, published poet with my first book feature-advertised in America magazine, I was interviewed on BookandAuthors.net, and also won their award “Best Christian Poetry of 2007″. I have two more books coming out within the next couple of months.

Thank you for your consideration, Letha C. Chamberlain

I checked out your blog. I actually surprised I haven't stumbled upon it before. I've made a note of it, and I'm planning on featuring it here on Dad in the Middle sometime soon. Thanks for what you guys are doing over there. The internet needs more of that!

I too have added the dadpad to my blogroll. I'm a Baptist Dad with two kids. My daughter has hearing loss and my son is currently ten months old. I try to write about my experience as a dad, and how I am learning to lead and to love better. Check it out if you'd like. I found your blog by searching for "Christian dad blog", and there aren't that many out there…glad to see someone else with great christian content!

I just found your site. Well done! I would like to introduce myself, my name is Gordon Eldridge and I have a blog for Christ called http://inhisservicetilhecomes.com. I hope you will include it in your listings. I pray that the efforts that we are putting forth in His name are doing some good for someone.
